Interview with Petar Zaharinov at Thursday 19th of May 2011: FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? PZ : 1x3 is inspired by so called burr puzzles. They are type of mechanical puzzles where all parts are interlocked and stay together without any fixtures. I found them suitable for utilization... FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? PZ : I wanted to achieve what I call "sophistication free" design. It means a design that can be produced easily and is made of very simple elements and traditional materials. The production in general is getting more and more hi-tech, the details more and more complicated and specific for each manufacturer. I think there is still space for movement in the opposite direction!.. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? PZ : The table is already a product with a special reusable bag, assembly manual etc. I will probably try to use its interlocking principle for other applications...

Interview with Delution Architect at Friday 10th of July 2015: FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? DA : Design inspiration came from demand klient who longed for an office that is unique and not boring, because klient company that moves in the field of advertising, demanding an atmosphere of the office that can stimulate creativity their employees, created from this forms the design and lighting are unique. Outside that although bbdo is a company global scale of worldwide with the central government in newyok, architect trying to presenting local identity of indonesia... FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? DA : Creating space and experience the work that can stimulate creativity employees , besides that of every employee can meeting, making a sketch, write and work anywhere outside of the table of their work. Besides that strong character of these companies own based in indonesia must be shown... FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? DA : If we wins this awards, we hope that can be our new access to international scale and obtain interior design project from whole world...

Interview with Chienya Sun at Saturday 27th of February 2016: FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? CS : Living in the Shanghai for densely populated,want to find the modern minimalist style of private house with a garden is very difficult,by reforming the old house.Then to give old house new vitality of modern minimalist,at the same time maximize the outdoor garden landscape and sunlight into the indoor,to achieve indoor and outdoor no boundaries of visual effect,set up and fully enjoy the sunshine and the interaction of nature... FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? CS : To give old house new vitality of modern minimalist... FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? CS : At the beginning of the design,we have identified minimalist design style for Pure-White,but did not determine the specific modelling.We put the unfavorable of the modern minimalist style of development condition transformation into our design elements...

Interview with Johanna MÃ¥rtensson at Wednesday 9th of March 2016: FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? JM : When working together as set and costume designer (Johanna) and composer and performer (Ida) with a dance piece at Cullberg balletten/Riksteatern we discovered a common interest in everyday objects and unexpected materials. A curiosity in what different materials and objects can achieve if put together or used in an another way than it is meant to. To lift the seemingly ordinary to something larger. We wanted to develop our interest in working with interactive objects - to invite the visitors to be performers and activators of the room, the sound and the objects and to find the objects becoming something else when used... FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? JM : As any artists, we want to touch and communicate with people. To open our minds to abstraction in a playful and humorous way, to let go of logics and explanations and to view things from new angles. We want to lift up simple man made objects, putting them together in unexpected ways, transform them to something larger, approach them from new angles, explore the sound they produce and experiment with different light. We want to find a non-hierarchic way of collaborating both with one another and with the participants. Allowing ourself to think abstract, surprising one another, exceeding our limits, trying out shapes and sounds out of everyday materials. Our intention is to create a unique and common experience within a safe space... FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? JM : We want to tour with this piece, we would like to try it out in different rooms, in different versions and with different audiences. It will be different every time, since the audience creates the music it will become a new piece as soon as someone enters the room, we want to explore this further...

Interview with Nazanin Akbarian Dehaghani at Sunday 17th of April 2016: FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? NA : The splash pendant is designed based on a very short moment when a stone piece collides with water. We all have seen this unique moment countless times although haven't pay enough attention to its beauty, by the use of a freeze shot the forms of water splashes has been applied as the main element of this piece... FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? NA : Fluid splashes in freeze shots has always been a charming occurrence for the inquiring mind of these days people. In Splash pendant this pure moment has been exploited to attain the main form of the pendant which is designed based on collision between a solid object and liquids. In this piece the fluid spiral form represents the water splashes and the pearl as a metaphor for a stone piece. Spiral forms with its golden ratio make a pleasant appearance for the eyes of user... FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? NA : converting the Splash concept to physical product. ..
