We had the distinct pleasure to interview award winning designer Akif Ekin about their original and creative Smart Patrol design work. Akif Ekin is an award-winning industrial designer, that makes our world a better place with their original smart patrol works.

AE : Reducing traffic accidents, providing safer traffics & saving people’s lives
AE : We wanted to make smarter the light bars which are already in use in police vehicles, in order to collect data and detect the violations.
AE : Smart Patrol has been implemented after two years’ work.
AE : as ekin, we wanted to make a difference in human lives by reducing traffic accidents and providing safer cities.
AE : Smart Patrol, the first truly mobile smart patrol in the world with 360 degree surveillance was developed and designed by ekin Technology. It has been already in use in 3 countries for 2 years now. We have just unveiled our "ekin Smart Patrol Bike", the world’s first speed enforcement and automatic number plate recognition bicycle, at the Intertraffic Exhibition, the largest platform for traffic technologies, which was held on April 5-8, 2016 in Amsterdam. It is a product which was based and designed upon the success of the ekin smart patrol. As a game-changer in smart traffic and traffic safety products, we will continue innovate new smart traffic and traffic safety products.

AE : There is no other design that can achieve plate recognition, face recognition and speed detection at the same time while the vehicles are on the move.
AE : Smart Patrol is the world first patrol that is able to detect speeds and recognize plates while the vehicle is on the move.
AE : ekin Smart Patrol is based on ekin Technology’s own software and design with high technology solutions.
AE : ekin Technology not only develops, but also designs innovative and smart solutions in the area of critical infrastructure security, public safety and traffic safety. We believe that without a clever design, no powerful product is complete. That’s why as ekin Technology we put as much work and effort into the design of our products as we put into the development of them. As strong believers of the importance of a successful design, we decided to submit our design to an international design competition.
