We had the distinct pleasure to interview award winning designer Shu Zong about their original and creative Brooch design work. Shu Zong is an award-winning fashion designer, that makes our world a better place with their original brooch works.
Shu Zong ("SZ") answered Design Interview ("DI") questions about their award-winning work Contrast Brooch. Interview questions prepared by Frank Scott.
SZ : The design shows people who are living in the concrete jungle with their souls having many different levels. Some of them are sharp and some of them are soft. These souls blend together to become the form of flying wings. During the manufacture I used polishing and sandblasting techniques to present deferent layers of the metal. With the zircon inlaid into the metal it completes the balance of a spectacular surface. This divides the jewelry into three brightness levels.
SZ : This process took about 4 months in total. It includes a lot of iteration with the craftsmen.
