We had the distinct pleasure to interview award winning designer FAHR 021.3 about their original and creative Installation design work. FAHR 021.3 is an award-winning communication designer, that makes our world a better place with their original installation works.
FAHR 021.3 ("F0") answered Design Interview ("DI") questions about their award-winning work S.Joao Structure Installation. Interview questions prepared by Frank Scott.
F0 : The main idea was to explore a specifically traditional theme and framing the proposal in the current context in which it occurs.
F0 : For a proposal with the party theme S.Joao team developed a survey around the tradition and spoke with locals. After gathering this information the design should have the socioeconomic consciousness of a country in crisis, and the materials chosen are the element that causes the reflection faded color of a gray society full of sadness.
F0 : The idea is to try to continue to make an active and conscious society where we are called to intervene.
F0 : Since the moment we were asked for a proposal to implementation about three weeks.
F0 : The client requested an intervention for the St. John's party and the idea of covering the square was created by us because we consider having more impact and involvement with people.
F0 : What made us draw this type of structure was the importance that this traditional party has in the community.
F0 : The choice of materials employed as a result of a socio-economic crisis.
F0 : The name comes directly from the name of the party.
F0 : For the initial design we use the digital tools and 3D modeling, for the assembly only with sweat and dedication of the local community.
F0 : It is the relationship with the local people and the rehabilitation of tradition using reflected balloons instead of colored.

F0 : The main challenge faced was to convince the population that the tradition can be shaped and adapted.
F0 : It is always necessary to keep our work and assets active and wherever possible apply for it. This is a prize that interests us, at least for participating.
F0 : Not always the assumptions of the design has to do with what we learn in universities but often has to do with what we have learned in life and contact with people.
