Interview with Raynon Chiu at Tuesday 29th of September 2015: DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
RC : The tea house uses Chinese traditional elements, which combines the raw material, and demonstrates the Chinese culture more deeply.

DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
RC : The designer adds various of natural points, such as, stone, wood and craft materials in such traditional tea house, which can lead the heart back to the pure mind.

DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
RC : Tea House opened for customers

DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
RC : Half a month

DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
RC : N/A

DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?

DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
RC : the designer adds various of natural points, such as, stone, wood and craft materials in such traditional tea house, which can lead the heart back to the pure mind. Exaggerated waterscape is not only the visual impact on beauty, but also the art exhibition, decorated with small bridges and lanes. The primitive blocks of stone, the rich and powerful Chinese painting as well the elegant waterscape and wood grid show the perfect combination of traditional elements with modern materials , which seems concealed and describes the charm incisively and vividly.

RC : N/A

RC : The people who are interested in tea and Chinese culture

DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
RC : N/A

DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
RC : Ming Yu Tang, by Chinese, means to drink tea, and it is a tea house.

DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
RC : CAD Sketch

DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
RC : The use of the Chinese elements

RC : We just use the normal technology such as, wood grid, partition and enclosed space to describe the typical Chinese style

RC : How to achicve the best results with the limited budget
