Interview with Ahead Concept Design Team at Thursday 2nd of July 2015: DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
AT : Buddhism believes that the universe is balanced and all-inclusive. Since the home owner’s philosophy is the same, we incorporated this belief into our design by removing all the doorways and combine all the spaces into one.

DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
AT : The essence of a private space is often determined by its users. Meanwhile, the role of the design is to interpret style to coincide with the exact pattern of daily life through the use of different materials.

DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
AT : Expensive materials are superficial without the proper design. The smell, interactions with light and temperature, and the feel of delicate textures are all incorporated into designs to make the users of a space feel comfortable and wealthy in their hearts and in their life. It is deeply believed that the concept of home is both the origin and the endpoint of life’s pursuit. That constant waiting to go home is how a comfortable space will make you feel.

DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
AT : Half year.

DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
AT : Buddhism believes that the universe is balanced and all-inclusive. Since the home owner’s philosophy is the same, we incorporated this belief into our design by removing all the doorways and combine all the spaces into one. This is particularly shown in connecting the eldest son’s room with that of the mother, which represents the everlasting bond between parent and child. The other side of the hallway has a linear light fixture that points to two windows.

DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
AT : It a interior design just for the client.

DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
AT : It's a space about the mother and son's relationship
