ML : open space, minimalist and full of charactere

ML : to bring the outside inside

ML : a first of many
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
ML : i believe an open space and minimalist design was the only approach for such a volume and location. it just enhance every perspectives
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
ML : I would say that penthouse design became my specialty. I love working with these volumes.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
ML : the client and his friends
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
ML : I believe its unique location is part of the design. the layout has been designed for it. it is a very unique place
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
ML : 59th floor
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
ML : my 3 pencils and my note book as a start
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
ML : we have only 3 doors. all full height on pivoting system. they become part of the design detail.
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
ML : civile engineers
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
ML : engineering for the minimalist aspect
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
ML : the time line. we have to realised this project in a very short time.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
ML : I believe this project is outstanding and deserve international exposure.

ML : every project is different. you learn more at every stage.
